The Southern African Cross Border Traders Associaon (SACBTA) sincerely extends its gratude to all organisaons and individuals that contributed to the development of this Gender Mainstreaming Strategy. We are indebted to the various stakeholders and partners for the collecve effort and technical input towards the development of the strategy.
The development of the strategy led by SACBTA involved extensive consultations with key organizations and individuals at regional levels. We are grateful to the various associaons represenng cross border traders namely SACBTA Zambia, Malawi Cross Border Traders Associasion (MCBTA), Swaziland Cross Border (SWACBTA), Zimbabwe Cross Border Associasion (ZCBTA) , SACBTA Executive Committee and the SACBTA Secretariat for their commitment and valuable input that was extremely vital to the development of this 2017‐2020 Gender Mainstreaming Strategy.
Special acknowledgement and appreciation goes to the cross border traders for their invaluable time and critical views in providing insights during the consultative processes.

Critical Success Factors
SACBTA has to achieve the following, if it is to deliver on its mission and vision.
- Resource mobilise to finance SACBTA programmes
- Implement leadership and team development programmes
- Develop and implement a communication strategy for SACBTA
- Develop and implement programmes that respond to the needs of cross border traders
The team deliberated on the strategic profile for SACBTA, juxtaposing the current and future products/services, customers, markets and geographical spread as follows;
